Dj, remixer, producer, A&R manager as well as music composer, editor, author of TV programs. Ricky, a polyhedric and transversal personality, was born in 1970 in Sanremo (Italy) and started his professional DJ career at only 15 years in historic clubs of the whole Ligurian Coast and the Côte d’Azur.
Ricky, besides music, is a famous creative director working in the world of fun parks creating attractions and following in the web and social manager section one of the most famous actresses in Italy: Vanessa Incontrada.
In 1988, he takes part in the Italian D.M.C./Rap championship and in 1993 he wins the Bybloscar award in Riccione, as best emerging Italian DJ. Thanks to his original style at the turntable and his young age, between 1990 and 2000, he became the youngest of the top Italian DJs. He is one of the most representative of Italian house music and is part of Italian Old School
With its bizarre music style, a mixture of house, deep and disco classic he becomes DJ resident and works in the best Italian club houses, those who’ve signed the history of the Italian nightclubbing. His experience abroad, including in Miami, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Ibiza (just to named a few) contributed to making him Top DJ.
He has made several productions and remixes who’ve climbed the International charts. He has deposited as music author, composer and editor more than 500 pieces with historic labels such as Salsoul, Waako, Irma, ZXY, Ocean Trax, Purple Music as well as with the major labels like Sony and Virgin.
As A&R director he followed several labels: Dry rec., Rain rec., River rec., The Rock rec. and various artists: Pink is Punk, Italian Secret Service, Spellband, Mono, Sure Pleasure.
In 2020 with Irma Dancefloor is born a new project “Ricky Birckyno Classic Remixes”: He revisited with great passion and style beautiful songs by Irma artists such as Papik, Neja, Soultrend Orchestra, Alan Scaffardi and Erika Scherlin.
